The battery on the Samsung Galaxy S8+ has performed better than many people thought it would in a new test carried out by review website phoneArena.
The battery on the flagship device lasts for exactly 8 hours, according to test results published by phoneArena.
The Galaxy S8+ battery life test result stands at exactly 8 hours. Compare this with the 7 hours and 18 minutes scored by the Galaxy S7 Edge and you will see that Samsung has managed to improve on their last year’s phone. The S8+ also bests the Google Pixel XL, the OnePlus 3T. But when compared to Apple’s larger iPhone 7 Plus, the S8+ will run out of juice one hour and 5 minutes earlier.
After getting full analysis about battery comparison of different and same series Android devices, it looks like the S8+ offers a solid battery time. But Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus beats it to the pulp with its 2900 mAh battery.
There, however, is one strong battery related feature where Samsung leaves Apple far behind, that is the fast battery charging feature. Have a look at the picture below to see how quickly Galaxy devices get a full charge as compared to the iPhone model.
Flagship phones and how long their batteries last:
- iPhone 7 Plus: 9 hours and 15 minutes
- Samsung Galaxy S8+: 8 hrs exactly
- iPhone 7: 7 hrs 46 mins
- Huawei PT: 7 hrs 42 mins
- Google Pixel XL: 7 hrs 19 mins
- Galaxy S7 Edge: 7 hrs 18 mins
- OnePlus 3T: 5 hrs 41 mins
Charging the Samsung Galaxy S8+ from 0% to 100% takes just 1 hour 40 minutes, which is one of the fastest charging times that phoneArena has ever seen.
