Apple has just announced its next major mobile operating system called iOS 11. During its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, the company unveiled its iOS 11 update along with numerous major new addition to the platform. Hit the jump to learn more about iOS 11 and its new features.
The list of the new addition tot he iOS 11 includes a redesigned app drawer to make iMessages more discoverable. Messages have gone into the iCloud and can be synced across all devices with better syncing. Apple Pay has also received person-to-person payments like Venmo. This person-to-person payment feature is built right into the messages as an iMessage app.
The Siri has also seen improvements to its voice which seems more natural. It can now translate which current seems to be in beta phase. It gets the voice translation capability for English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Spanish.
Siri now gets “on-device learning” to suggest stuff like news articles, responding to your location, or make a calendar location.
Other new features include Camera app update, redesigned control center, redesign lock screen and Notification Center. The iOS 11 also gets an updated Photos app. the AppleMaps app in iOS 11 gets detailed floor maps for malls, airports, and other key public places of interest. The AirPlay 2 in iOS 11 gets multi-speaker and multi-room support. The Apple Music also gets a new section with iOS 11.
