Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8 is about to enter production at large scale. Now it’s just a matter of time before Apple send invitations to an event in September where the company will unveil its latest iPhone hardware. Apple is known for introducing new iPhone models in the first half of September and now Mac4Ever claims that the company is going to hold its much-anticipated iPhone 8 media event on September 12 of this year.

The report claims that the media event information is collected from various carrier sources who have already been informed as to when Apple is going to unveil its 2017 iPhone models. If we peek into history, the September 12 date does fall in line with previous iPhone events.

If Apple does end up unveiling the iPhone 8, iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus on September 12, the devices will highly likely go up for pre-order three days later i.e. on September 15th. A week after the pre-orders date, the new iPhone models should hit the retail stores on September 22nd. In case of iPhone 8, the company is already experiencing various manufacturing and supply chain related issues. It won’t come as a surprise if the handset’s pre-order and availability if slightly pushed into the future.

Other than the iPhone, iPhone 7s, and iPhone 7s Plus, Apple is also expected to launch new Apple Tv with 4K and an Apple Watch with LTE capabilities during the event. On the same day, the company will also release the final version of latest and greatest iOS 11 software update for all the compatible iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices.

Given the massive hype build up surrounding the launch of 10th anniversary iPhone models, it remains unclear where Apple will be holding this upcoming media event. While Apple’s own Steve Jobs theater in Apple Park seems like the right candidate but it still is not ready for the prime time.
