The third beta of iOS 11.1 software update is now available to developers and Public Beta testers. It was only one week ago when Apple pushed the iOS 11.1 beta 2 which contained numerous new features including hundreds of new emoji characters and the return of 3D Touch App Switching gesture.
Since there is a gap of only a week between beta 2 and beta 3, it is expected to bring minor bug fixes, performance improvements, and tweaks to the features introduced in previous beta releases.
The third beta of iOS 11.1 brings fixes for frame rate related issues with 3D Touch quick action, Widgets and Notifications are now accessible via Reachability, and Haptic feedback return when an incorrect passcode is entered.
The iOS 11.1 beta 3 or any upcoming beta of this software update may include Apple Pay Cash feature and the return of Message in the Cloud feature as well. I am saying this because the final version of iOS 11.1 is meant to bring the above-mentioned features.
Alongside releasing iOS 11.1 beta 3, Apple has also released the third beta of watchOS 4.1 and tvOS 11.1.to the registered iOS developers with minor bug fixes.
The same beta releases are available to public beta testers as well. If your device is already running a beta version of iOS 11.1, you can update to latest beta by going to Settings > General > Software Update. If it’s the first time you’re going to install it, check out of detailed instructions on installing iOS 11.1 beta.
If you come across any new features in the third beta, please let us know in the comments section below, we’ll update the post accordingly.
