iOS 11.2 beta 5 download is available now. Apple has released the 5th beta of its upcoming software update to the registered iOS Developers. The update is now available in the Apple Developer Centre and can be downloaded for compatible iPhone iPad, and iPod Touch devices.
The first beta of iOS 11.2 was released one month ago to the developers for testing purposes. This upcoming software update (ioS 11.2) is meant to bring features such as Apple Pay Cash and the SiriKit for HomePod which was detailed at the end of October. We have a detailed topic covering all the new features of iOS 11.2.
If your device is already running iOS 11.2 beta version you can easily update to the latest beta by going to Settings > General > Software Update. However, if you are going to try iOS 11.2 beta for the first time, to download and install developer beta you need to have a profile configured properly on your device. You can do that by following our step-by-step guide here.
Alongside the developer release, Apple also pushes the same beta build to the Public beta testers which will happen soon. For now, it remains unknown if Apple added any new thing in the 5th beta release. However, it’s possible that it may include features that were introduced with iSO 11 and have not yet been released, such as iCloud support for Messages.
Some of the key changes and new features found so far in iOS 11.2 beta releases are as follows:
- Fix for a bug found in stock Calculator app.
- Introduces Sirikit on HomePod.
- Apple Pay Cash for peer-to-peer payments.
If you have installed iOS 11.2 beta and come across any new feature, please let us know in the comment section below. We will update this post accordingly.
