Just one day after the release of iOS 12, Apple has already seeded the first beta of iOS 12.1 – an upcoming iOS update. The iOS 12.1 beta 1 is now available to developers.
If you are a registered Apple developer and enrolled into Apple Developer Center, you can download and install the first beta of iOS 12.1 on any device by properly configuring the beta profile on it. Once the beta profile is configured you can install iOS 12.1 as an Over-the-Air update on that devices. To dot hat, simply go to Settings > General > Software Update. You can also download iOS 12.2 beta 1 from Apple Developer Center and flash it using iTunes.
At the time of writing this pieces, it is not known what new features Apple plans on pushing through iOS 12.1. Given the fact that Apple has just released a major iOS update, it is highly unlikely of Apple to push a major feature through a subsequent point update. The update is likely a minor one with bug fixes, stability, and performance improvements. It will also address any issue discovered since the release of iOS 12.
One major feature that Apple did not include in the final iOS 12 is the group FaceTime calling. The company might include it in iOS 12.1. We will update this post if we encounter any new addition in iOS 12.1. If you’re an adventurous type and plans on installing the first beta on your device, let us know if you find anything new in this upcoming operating system update.
