There were reports of Apple planning another media event for late 2018 to unveil its latest Mac and iPad Pro. The wait for an official word from the company itself is over now. Apple has officially sent out invites for an event on Tuesday, October 30.
The tagline on the invitations sent out to select media outlets reads “There’s more in the making.” The invitation also carries numerous Apple logos which are heavily stylized. Of course, the imagery shown on the invitation does not hint at what Apple has in store for this upcoming event, but the rumors mill has already covered all that.
This event is not gonna be as big as the September event where the company launched its three new flagship devices: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and the iPhone XR. The company is holding this upcoming event in Brooklyn, New York rather than the Steve Jobs Theater in California.
As far as What Apple is going to unveil? The new iPad Pro models along with new Max hardware is at the top of the list of rumors mill. The company is expected to launch an iPad Pro with 11-inch display and another with a 12.9-inch display. Both are expected to feature minimalistic bezels (just like the iPhone X) along with Face ID authentication mechanism and True Depth Camera setup. Rumors also claim that the devices will get USB Type-C and will not feature a physical Home button.
On the Mac front, the company is expected to unveil a refreshed MacBook Air model with Retina display. The company is also expected to announce an updated Mac Mini at some point. Apple may have some surprises up his sleeve such as a truly wireless charger for its wireless headphone, the AirPods. The company is yet to introduce its wireless charging mat and AirPower.
Apple will hold the event in the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Howard Gilman Opera House. The keynote will start at 10:00 AM Eastern/7:00 AM Pacific Time.
