The U.S. Supreme Court Refuses to Entertain Apple’s Plea in $440 Million VirnetX Case

In 2016, a federal jury found Apple guilty of infringing VirnetX’s patents and awarded $302 million. Currently, the outstanding amount stands at a staggering $440 million and includes interest. Apple is trying to avoid paying damages to VirnetX for using its internet security technology in features like FaceTime. The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear Apple’s appeal against paying damages to VirnetX.
