iOS 5.1 users eagerly waiting for an untethered jailbreak, pod2g is back with some appealing news. Some of you might think the iOS 5.1 jailbreak is taking longer than expected, but you have to know with every new iOS, Apple patches up the older version jailbreak vulnerabilities making the process even harder every time.
A quick recap. Pod2g tweeted a week ago that he working on the iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak. However, a release could be a month or two from now or it could be not in the near future at all. This was upsetting for users wishing to exploit every one of those awesome tweaks that keep coming out since the iPad 3 release.
Pod2 is gave us another status update on the iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak today in a tweet saying that his weekend has been productive and that he found two important exploits; one kernel land and the other root land.
We still have no clue as to a public release date, but we are more than excited with the progress in the jailbreak process and hope the next jailbreak status update is a public release, hopefully very soon.
