Next-Gen iPhone to Come with a 19-Pin “Mini” Dock Connector

Back in February, iMore had reported that Apple is planning to replace the standard 30-pin dock connector that is used in the iPhone, iPad and iPod with something more compact, which they called the “micro dock”.
The reason for replacing the 30-pin connector with something more compact is to make room for components for next generation iOS devices, such as 4G radios, bigger batteries, new sensors etc.
