Finally the wait is over as the iOS – 6 releases today {Download from HERE}. Apple has been pitching the beta version to its user since June this year and the final iOS-6 looks really awesome. It has a ton of new features, so let get right under it.

The Siri is all improved and much more life-like. Despite the criticism it has received over the past year since its launch with the iphone 4S. It now supports the new iPad and the 5th gen iPod touch. The local search on the Siri, which was its most used feature was only restricted to the US, but now it is going to be available in other countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Later on Siri’s local search will also include Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.

It is going to be all about interacting with something intelligent. Siri can now follow your favorite sports club(s) and keep you up-to-date with it. It can book reservations and or tickets. Siri can also post on your behalf on your social networking accounts. With all this I won’t be surprised if Tony Stark (in the up-coming Iron Man 3) installs the iOS-6 and ask Jarvis to step aside.

Another huge feature is the Maps app. Say good-bye to google maps as the iOS-6 introduces the Map app which is amazingly fast and super cool. This Map app is completely mind blowing stuff. Flyover is the most striking feature, there is no longer a need for the conventional satellite or 2D view. With the Flyover feature you simply Flyover a 3D view of the city and have the ability to zoom, pan, tilt and rotate. The best bit is the fast speed with which it allows the user to perform the fore-said functions. Turn-by-turn navigation is finally a part of the iPhone. The app provides spoken directions and a 3D view navigation with real time traffic integration that helps you avoid traffic.

Passbook is another spectacular new feature of the iOS-6. It is basically your new wallet. Boarding passes, movie tickets, retail coupons, store cards and more can be turned into digital cards that are managed by your Passbook app. This app will manage it all as you check into various stores or places. It updates the information accordingly without being launched manually. It will display the necessary information on your lock screen as you travel.

The mailing facility in the iOS-6 has got a do-over as well. Now you can create smart filters to navigate through your inbox. The new mailing facility provides a simple tap-to-insert content(video or picture). You no longer need to go to your camera roll to email a picture or video.

The app store has been overhauled as well. The new look is more user friendly and downloading apps and following their progress has also improved. Searching for apps has become more efficient as well, with the small preview for each search item that is being displayed.

The iTunes has also followed suite with the app store with a new look. The iTunes keeps a record of each and every bit of media file that you have previewed as well.

Safari has been upgraded as well. The iCloud tabs, will syncs all the tabs you have open in Safari between your Mac and iOS devices. If iPhone is connected to the same iCloud account, you’ll quickly be able to open the same URL as you did on your Mac. With just one tap on the iCloud button you will be able to see all the tabs you have open. The new safari also feature an off-line reading mode which simply require no connection to the internet at all. Now you can open all your offline web pages.

The phone features have improved as well. With the call back reminders or reply with message when you are unable to attend a call are very adequate.

Facetime is no longer restricted to wi-fi connections. You can also use your cellular 3G or4G connections to use face time.

The camera is comes equipped with the exciting new panorama shooting mode, which is excellent for land-scape and group photography. Now you can also share a slide stream of your photos and receive comments and notifications.

The privacy settings allow the user to control which app can use what. This is quite a handy feature that can act according to the user’s settings.

Apps on facebook or other social networking sites will have to go through the filter created by the user to access files and information.

Settings with the iOS-6 have seen new profiles such as the do-not-disturb mode which can block alert and even calls for a set period of time. It can easily switch between wi-fi and cellular networks when need be. And any visual changes you make, such as changing the wall paper will generate a live preview.

Messaging is now completely synced with all your apple devices. Whether they are from your phone or your email contacts. Any message delivered to your phone will be synced to your Mac or other apple devices.

The new iOS-6 has other smaller tweaked features as well. The little things also matter when it comes to drawing a huge picture. And the iOS-6 is nothing short of a master piece.

What else …….
