Few hours ago, Pod2g, the man behind iOS 5 and iOS 5.1.1 Jailbreak has tweeted some facts and answers about his signing up at twitition (twitter petition) with the title “WeWantAnOpeniOS”, and about his the ability to jailbreak iOS 6.
The guy said that some of his geek friends are moving from iOS to Android OS and the main thing behind this migration is the closeness of the iOS system. So, he wants Apple to open up its iOS.
Before any talking about facts and answers, you may not know that to convert iOS from closing system to opening system is not difficult task and all what we need is to enlarge some API/SDK and the developers will able to submit themes and tweaks.
Another important note saying that although iOS is a perfect Mobile OS, but Apple really need to bring some major changes in the iOS 7 regarding user interface and security changes. If Apple will open some holes for developers to bring some tweaks and modes, it will be the biggest change since original iOS and will surely bring many new iOS users.
Anyway, Pod2g confirmed that saying that he can’t jailbreak iOS 6 and Apple won are not true for many ways:
- Firstly, the jailbreak is being developed in the underground, and is just not ready for a public release.
- Secondly, it’s not the jailbreaker that talked with this message, as he is not involved in security research for some months now, working on.
