Apple has today kicked off its annual Back to School promotion through the Apple online store. As it did in 2012, the Cupertino company is offering a $100 App Store gift card with every new Mac, or a $50 card with a new iPad.

Buy an iPad or iPhone and Apple will throw in a $50 Gift Card. You can redeem your card against any content purchase on iTunes, including Mac and iOS apps, movies, television shows, songs, books and more.

Full details are right below the fold…

According to the promotion terms and conditions on Apple’s website, you must be a college student, a student accepted to a college, a parent buying for a college student or a faculty or staff member from any grade level to qualify for this promotion.

Apple is also offering a range of accessories along with education pricing on Macs, Apple software and select accessories at special prices. Moreover, Apple is offering up to 34 percent saving with education pricing on AppleCare Protection Plan for Mac and Apple displays.

These products are available through the Apple Store for Education.

The promotion can also be used in conjunction with education pricing if you’re buying a new Mac, which could save you up to $200 on a new machine. iPads and iPhones aren’t eligible for education pricing, however.

The Back to School promotion runs right throughout the summer, from July 2 to September 6, giving you plenty of time to take advantage of the offer before it’s time to head back to campus
