In these days we are waiting for Apple to release its new generation iPhone which said to be named “iPhone 5S”. Today a Chinese website has just posted new images of the purported iPhone 5S which, if true, would confirm several rumors we heard in the past few months…

The leak says that the iPhone 5S (assuming Apple calls the next model that) will see a graphic boost from a quad-core PowerVR SGX544MP4 GPU, reports Extreme Tech. The CPU is expected to be referred to as the A7, but apart from the graphics may only see an incremental clock boost and more RAM to make it faster rather than being a fully redesigned chip. The phone is said to sport 2GB of RAM, a doubling from the current iPhone 5.

In practice, the images show an iPhone 5S similar to the current model with regard to the external form, with hardware improvements related to CPU, camera and new features such as a fingerprint reader, and probably NFC antenna for electronic payments. The source in question also speaks of a new display type IGZO, capable of consuming much less energy and thus increase the battery life.
