There are a lot of Cydia tweaks available that bring features of Android to iOS. Some launchers were released that give a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich UI on iOS, and now iLendSoft, an iOS developer, has released a new jailbreak app that goes by the name GingerLock and it brings the Android Gingerbread OS lock screen to iOS.

After downloading and installing the tweak, a new menu is going to be added to the stock Settings app. You get to see two sliders on each side of the screen. The left one can be used to unlock your device by swiping it to the right while you can swipe the right one to the left to launch the Camera.

The tweak also allows you to customize the Camera Slider, so you can launch any application directly from the lock screen. This option can be configured from the Settings menu.

Through Settings, you can also make the slider on the right disappear or configure it to launch any of the applications. There are also options to choose either the round clock style interface or the default style. Through Settings, you can also make the tweak active or inactive. The developer also informs that the images used in the jailbreak app are available for editing through the directory /Library/Application Support/GingerLock.

The tweak offers an intrusive way to get a taste of Gingerbread lockscreen, and changes the face of the default lockscreen on your device.

You can download GingerLock from the BigBoss repository of the Cydia Store for $0.99. Let us know if you give it a try and feel free to leave comments.
