Finally, there are reports to look on. Apple has managed to sale 9 million units in the first weekend. Analysts were predicting a sale of 13 million in first 10 days so it calls for a celebrated. Now the AAPL stock is going towards $500 per share in pre-trade.

Apple has also said that above 200 million users have updated to iOS 7 since its release. And Tim Cook also said that Apple is going to ship its 700th million iDevice next month.

The press release tipped iPhone sales as ‘record breaking’ and called iOS 7 ‘the fastest software upgrade in history’.

Why wouldn’t it when stats show that this is an 80% increase compared to iPhone 5 opening week sales which was 5 million units in first three days.

The 9 million figures only include iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.

Tim Cook’s quote was cited by Apple:

This is our best iPhone launch yet―more than nine million new iPhones sold―a new record for first weekend sales.

The demand for the new iPhones has been incredible, and while we’ve sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5s, stores continue to receive new iPhone shipments regularly.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough new iPhones for everyone.

Tim Cook also visited Apple’s Palto Alto store last weekend.

The CEO also made a tweet saying;

“seeing so many happy customers reminds us of why we do what we do”.

Both iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c are available in Australia, Canada, China, France, US, Hong Kong, Germany, Singapore, Puerto Rick and the UK.

Apple doesn’t provide per-model figures for iDevices, and some people are wrongly criticizing the company.

Apple has also said that demand for iPhone 5s surpassed supply and online stores are going to give the handset ‘in coming weeks’. Now shipping estimates in U.S. have also gone till October.

Furthermore, 11 million listeners are tuned in to iTunes Radio.

Things look good for Apple
