While we have been covering the performance of iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c and how they outperform most handsets in the market, it’s time to go back to iPhone 5 and see a bit of comparison with its rivals.

VentureBeat cites a report from Agawi that the touchscreen on iPhone 5 is 25 times more faster than screens of Windows Phone and Android devices.

In its first TouchMarks benchmark test, the iPhone 5 responded to touches at an average time of 55 milliseconds, compared to 85 milliseconds for the iPhone 4. The closest Android device was the Samsung Galaxy S4 at 114 milliseconds.

Peter Relan, Agawi chairman said that Apple thrashed the competition.

Lumia 928, Google MotoX and HTC One were also part of the test, and all of them clocked at 117 ms.

“Even a two-year old iPhone 4 beat out the other Android devices, and you expect this from Apple’s design team, while others may view their responsiveness as good enough. Now we know why the Android touch keyboard is not as snappy.”

CEO Agawi and cofounder Rohan Relan also said that App respond early with more responsive screens, and those smartphones that have lower MART score will always feel snappy. This is the primary reason why iPhone 5 keyboard is more responsive then keyboard of Android devices.
