It looks like Nokia is going to go ahead with Lumia 2520, the first Windows RT tablet of the company, regardless of the report that Microsoft is going to take over its device business. While details have been minimal so far, the first leaked photos of the device have surfaced online courtesy of the highly popular device tweeter; Evleaks.
The color in the leaked picture is cyan, and the device is said to be offered in black, red and white as well.
The picture shows the Windows button at the center of the tablets, and volume buttons are placed on the sides, brushing out any possibility that it is a new leaked phone. However, the striking similarity to the Lumia phones suggests that Nokia wants to bring the brand to the tablet line as well.
The company is expected to make an announcement about the device on 22th October, 2013 at an event in Abu-Dhabi. They are also said to announce 4 other devices. The Lumia 2520 Windows RT tablet is expected to feature a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1080, a 6.7 inch megapixel camera and a quad-core Qualcomm processor. The price is expected to be $499.
Also note that 22nd October is the date when Apple unveils iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5.
Do you think Lumia tablet would have any chance against Apple’s new iPads?
