Yesterday, when informing you about the rear shell leaks of iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2, we also reported that Apple is going to send out invitations to the event pretty soon, and that is exactly what has happened.

Apple has lately sent out invites to the 22nd October event stating ‘we still have a lot to cover’. Apart from the new iPads, Apple is also expected to announce something about OS X Mavericks and the new MacBook Pro and Air.

The event is going to take place in San Francisco at the Yerba Buena Center for Arts. And a new report reveals that Apple is going to stream the keynote through a London satellite to reach media members that are outside U.S.

According to 9to5mac:

“For its September 10 iPhone event, Apple held simultaneous satellite streams in Berlin, Tokyo, and Beijing. For the upcoming event, the stream will be held in London, according to members of international media invited to the stream. The London-based event will begin at 6PM local time and it will be held at the Kings Place Hall. This hall fits a few hundred people.

It is likely that the London stream will also offer an opportunity for local journalists to try out the new devices. We’re expecting an iPad mini with Retina display, redesigned full-sized iPad, new Macs, and talk of OS X Mavericks, so there will be plenty in store for the demo area.”

The source also says that Apple is going to step up a live stream just for internal employees so they can watch the event from the comfort of their offices. However, a public live stream hasn’t been announced yet (but we’re pretty sure it will happen, unofficially). Apple didn’t provide any public or internal stream for the iPhone event that took place on 10th September, but it has provided employees with live streams before, so it can happen.

No matter what happens, there will be a lot uncovered at the event. Apple is expected to reveal Retina iPad Mini 2, iPad 5, perhaps OS X Mavericks and the theater advert occupied MacBook Pros.
