You might be aware now that evasi0n7 was released by evad3rs this morning. This new untethered jailbreak for iOS 7 was for iPad, iPad Mini, iPod Touch and iPhone on iOS 7.0 – iOS 7.0.4.

However, some users have reported issues, so we’re going to write some workarounds over here:

When the process is stuck

It takes 4-5 minutes to complete a jailbreak, and the device restarts in intervals. However, you can restart the program if the process gets stock, restart by holding power and home button and then start the process again.

When the process fails

There are a lot of users who are saying that there is a problem with Apple logo and some of the native apps are crashing after the use of evasi0n7, so in this case, a full restore is recommended before you try the process again. But pod2g and the team are also working on more issues and will have a fix soon.

When Cydia gives errors

As there was no tethered jailbreak for iOS 7 with a proper kernel, there hasn’t been a lot of testing. Saurik is still trying to put the pieces together, but it is important to note that some of the problems will be related to the traffic received on Cydia, similarly what happened with untethered jailbreak for iOS 6 was released.

When tweaks don’t work

Most tweaks have been reported to malfunction. This is because developers haven’t released the required updates so far, but are likely to do soon.

Do keep sharing your problems so we can keep you updated.
