Since the release of iOS 7 untethered jailbreak, it has been a wild ride for Cydia developers, with most of them focusing on enhancing the functionality of iPhone 5s Touch ID. Ryan Petrich, a popular name in the jailbreak community, is the latest to release a tweak for the purpose that goes by the name BioLockDown.
BioLockDown is not the first tweak however making use of the Touch ID, but it doesn’t certainly mean it can’t make a name for itself among iPhone owners. The tweak enables users to demand authorized fingerprint detection for app accessing, settings and switches that reside in the Settings and the Control Center of iOS 7.
After the jailbreak app has been installed, users have the ability to set ‘restrictions’, which prevents a Control Center switch, a toggle for Settings or an app from activation without registered fingerprint detection. The installation is fairly simple and doesn’t require a lot on the user’s part.
BioLockDown is available at the BigBoss repository. It doesn’t work on non-Touch ID phones and is only available for iPhone 5s. The price is $1.99.
