It has been a month since iOS 7.1 was released and now Apple is working on the first bug fix update in the form of iOS 7.1.1. iOS 7.1 was the first major update after iOS 7 was released in September, bringing Siri, Touch ID improvements, CarPlay support, UI tweaks and a few bug fixes.

Online reports say that iOS 7.1.1 is now visible in web analytics tools, which means Apple has started testing the firmware with more employees before its official release. This is because devices running upcoming builds usually appear in these tools around Apple’s campus. There it is certain that Apple is testing the update internally.

At the moment, it is unclear what features will be offered in iOS 7.1.1. But if the number version is anything to go by, it’s going to be a maintenance update with more bug fixes.

Apple should be putting iOS 7.1.1 betas in its developer portal for early downloading, but it could be hitting your devices soon over the air. iOS will then automatically download once your devices are connected to WiFi. But if you want to skip and iOS OTA update, you can delete the installer by heading to Settings – General – Usage.
