Among the features we’ve seen it yesterday in iOS 8 beta 3 like the new WiFi calling, new updated Weather app and more great features. Today we’ve spotted another notable change in the firmware. In today’s update, Apple adds both Caffeine-tracking and M7-supported step-counting to the already feature-packed Health app.

Developers with the latest iOS 8 beta installed on their iPhone 5s will notice that they can now input their daily Caffeine intake. They can also now track their steps without a third party app or accessory using the 5s’ built-in M7 processor…

The report goes to 9to5mac, we tested the new step-counting feature and found it to be fairly accurate. The Health app can pull up to a week’s worth of data from the M7, and users can then sort that data by day, week and month, and share it.

Less significant, but still noteworthy, is the addition of the Caffeine tab in the ‘Nutrition’ section. Caffeine-tracking has become popular as of late, and inputting their daily intake of the stimulant can help round out a person’s health profile.
