An 11-year-old boy was recently treated in a San Diego hospital for an allergic rash, which doctors have traced to an iPad his family purchased in 2010. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, the use of allergy-inducing nickel in the tablet is suspected of causing the common skin condition in the boy, with the young patient missing school because of the rash.
