While confirming that iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 pre-orders would begin on October 17, Apple did not provide an exact time when the window would open. Given that the Apple Store has been offline for about one hour as of writing, it could be just a matter of minutes.
iPad Air 2 is the new flagship iPad in Apple’s tablet lineup, featuring an A8X chip and M8 motion coprocessor that deliver up to 40% faster performance and 2.5x the graphics performance than the previous-generation iPad Air. The new iPad Air 2 also features an ultra-thin design at just 6.1mm, an improved Retina display with more vivid colors and greater contrast, an improved 8-megapixel iSight camera with a new sensor, faster wireless, Touch ID and more.
