After the announcement of the availability of Apple’s event channel on Apple TV, the Apple store goes offline ahead of today’s Apple watch event. The company will be unveiling the much anticipated Apple Watch, iOS 8.2, and possibly the rumored 12-inch Retina MacBook Air.
Visiting store.apple.com now shows a message that says “We’ll be back. We’re busy updating the Apple Store for you and will be back soon.†The message is shown in various languages, and like the iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 events from last year, the design of the page is flatter and doesn’t contain a fake linen background.
It is possible that the Apple Watch will go up for pre-order later today after Apple’s ‘Spring Forward’ event.
