Having problems installing Watch OS 1.0.1 on your Apple Watch? Try this fix

Apple released Watch OS 1.0.1, the first software update for the Apple Watch.
The update process is quite different compared to other iOS devices, as you need to download the update on the Apple Watch via the iPhone. Since it seems to rely on a Bluetooth connection to transfer data, it can take quite sometime (20-30 minutes) to install the update.
