In the latest round of iPhone 5 rumors, Digitimes claims that Largan Precision might be the supplier for the alleged 8 megapixel iPhone 5 camera. It was previously learn that Apple was hoping to widen its parts supplier list.

As far as the next generation iPhone is concerned, we’ve already heard rumors that it may feature a curved glass screen, relocated LED camera flash and possibly an eight megapixel camera module.

Digitimes reports:

Taiwan-based Largan Precision currently sees 8-megapixel phone-use lens modules account for nearly 10% of its total lens module shipment volume, but it may see 8-megapixel modules replace 5-megapixel ones to become the mainstream for smartphones in the third quarter of 2011 due to possible orders from Apple, according to industry sources in Taiwan.
