Intel and Micron team up for new flash storage technology that’s 1,000 faster than NAND

Intel and Micron have teamed up to produce a “breakthrough” flash storage technology that promises to be up to 1,000 times faster than the NAND chips being used today. Dubbed 3D XPoint, it is the first new memory category in more than 25 years, and Intel says it’s going to change everything.
