The iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy S II were set against each other in a drop down test performed by Square Trade folks. Which one of these handsets do you expect to take the fall?.
The test involved a waist high and shoulder high drop. It showed the iPhone 4S damaged pretty badly. The screen was shattered beyond functionality, while the Samsung Galaxy S II stood its ground and actually survived several falls.
The iPhone 4S was continuously criticized for its glass design which can`t sustain a fall. On the other hand, the plastic back on the Galaxy S II can absorb a quick sudden impact. So, if you are an iPhone owner, you should definitely get yourself a protective case.
