The upcoming OLED iPhone 8 could launch in an all-new “mirror-like” reflective shade, according to Benjamin Geskin – a mobile leaker. The leaker expects the iPhone 8 to come in four different shades including a new reflective shade for which he also shared an example image on Twitter showing what this new shade could look line.
While the images shared by the leaker only shows an iPhone covered with a third-party protective case, but it gives us a glimpse at what this fours new color option could look like if Apple really opts for this new color option.
Earlier this month, the KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had predicted that Apple could launch a new color option called “Boutique”, along with the “S” iterative models of the current iPhone 7. Geskin did not provide any source of this information that someone could verify his claim. So, it’s better to take this leak with a pinch of salt.
The leaker did not talk about the other three color options for the OLED iPhone 8. However, it’s likely that Apple could simply take them from the existing six shades in which the iPhone 7 is currently available. These six shades include jet black, black, gold, silver, rose gold, and (PRODUCT)RED.

Apple’s iPhone 8 is widely expected to come with an OLED display and with market’s highest screen-to-body ratio, thanks to the minimal bezels. Last week’s hot topic was a note from Ming-Chi Kuo who speculated that the iPhone 8 could launch without having a fingerprinter sensor of any kind. He believes that Apple will ditch the Touch ID altogether with OLED iPhone 8 in favor of a new 3D depth sensing for facial recognition.
Other rumored features include a glass body with inductive wireless charging, a faster A11 chipset, and a 3GB RAM module. The 5.8-inch OLED iPhone 8 is expected to be unveiled in September this year.
