Rumors have it that Apple is prepared to launch its new MacBook 15-inch ultraportable model in the near future being done with its testing phase. According to one report, Apple has finalized its development of an LCD test component for the new model.
However, another rumor surfaces suggesting that Apple is considering pulling the plug on the MacBook Pro line by the end of 2011. Apple`s recent financial results reflect that the MacBook take up to 74% of the entire Mac product division.
The results has also showed that the Mac Pro workstation has declined over the years and now only a few of Apple`s retailers are selling the Mac Pro.
Apple`s iMac is still holding its ground. So, Apple could end the Pro production line to work on releasing new versions of its iMac or Mac mini desktops with their enhanced processors that are almost similar to the of the Mac Pro.
There`s a big chance Apple will follow through with its plan to end the Pro line based solely on profits and money-making.
