iOS 11.1.2 To.panga jailbreak released for developers

It has been a long time since we heard any news about iOS 11.x.x jailbreak. Just a few moments ago, Abraham Masri who is also known as cheesecakeufo the guy behind many jailbreak tools like Saigon jailbreak and Houdini has broke the silence and came for us today with semi-jailbreak experience to iPhone, has released the much-awaited iOS 11.1.2 jailbreak.

The jailbreak is currently on GitHub and it is made for developers at the moment. That’s mean regular jailbreakers should avoid getting into this process as it might end up bricking your iOS device and force you to upgrade to iOS 11.2.1.

He has used Ian Beer’s tfp0 iOS 11.1.2 exploit, codesigning stuff by xerub, binaries and libraries from the Jonathan Levin and CoolStart to develop the To.Pangu iOS 11.1.2 jailbreak. The To.Panga jailbreak supports iOS 11 – iOS 11.1.2. Masri has revealed that he has “implemented a `jailbreakd` type of daemon that injects processes that Cydia uses. It’s not perfect but partially works.” He also admits that John Levine’s who is also working on an iOS 11.1.2 jailbreak, is using a better approach, so you may want to wait for him to release the jailbreak.

Below is a screenshot that shows he was able to get Cyida running with To.panga jailbreak but it works only partially and has warned developers to avoid removing system packages.

The good part is that some comments in the reddit thread shows that some users were able to use To.Panga jailbreak to jailbreak their iOS devices but it hasn’t worked for everyone.
