A smartphone camera is one of the features that differentiates one handset from another and the new iPhone 4S`s 8 MP back camera is the best smartphone camera ever. It`s widely known that a camera`s megapixels doesn`t always translate into better photos. The camera`s software itself makes a huge difference.

We forget, though, that most of the current smartphones feature two cameras-a front camera for shooting high quality photos and a back one for video calling. Usually, the front-facing camera is of poor quality. The rear-facing camera is 8 MP, however, the back-facing camera is only a VGA-capable camera.

Running a video comparison test between the iPhone 4S front camera and that of Samsung`s Galaxy Nexus; the front camera of which supports 720p video ended with the Galaxy Nexus victorious, but if you`re just doing video calls, you may not notice a lot of a difference.
