As you must have heard, Apple has seeded iOS 5.1 to its registered Dev Center developers and now we `r looking deep down into iOS 5.1 file system which are backed with major findings. We have a reference to a Apple TV 3.1 which would be an upgrade from the current Apple`s TV 2.1 current marking.
The number on the code string going from 2.1 to 3.1 represents major changes internally. It makes sense knowing that Apple TV is gaining a fully redesigned case which would expectedly encompass major changes.
That`s not all. we have a major and most exciting finding and that is the reference to iPhone 5.1. Yesssss, Apple`s next generation, long-rumored and much-anticipated iPhone. The new iPhone has been dubbed 5.1 internally. Again, the jump from 4.1 to 5.1 reflects major internal changes; most probably the rumored A6 chip as well as the 4-inch display and the new aluminum casing.
We`re not sure when the new iPhone will be released, May be next October or in the summer as we heard before.
Anyway, it`s hopeful enough to see official code string indicator in the Apple`s new iOS.
Apple`s iOS 5.1 has also revealed iPad 2,4 and 3,3 which could be Sprint`s iPad that Apple has been working on for some time now, but only if it has WiMAX.A 3G-only iPad would have the same hardware as the Verizon iPad. The iPad 3 is rumored to launch in March. I guess we`ll know soon.
