Pod2g didn’t explain what exploit paved the way for the jailbreak ,but it could have something with the exploit he found on November 7th and claimed it could jailbreak untether iOS 5.
In a tweet by iPhone hacker ,pod2g, on his Twitter account,he linked to a video that he has just uploaded showcasing an untethered iOS 5 jailbreak.Yesss folks,you read it right ,UNTETHERED.
We still don’t have a lot of details other than it works on iOS 5 (not iOS 5.0.1 yet) on an iPod Touch.However,we still don’t know if it works on other non-jailbroken devices like iPad 2 and iPhone 4S.
