Microsoft has released a new Surface Go ad taking a dig at Apple iPad and calling its portable device as a real computer. The software giant has named its ad ‘Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer Remix’ which shows a grandma going out with her granddaughter to buy her a holiday present.

The girl sings that it was ok to have an iPad when she was 6, but now she’s 10, has big dreams, and now need a real computer. A computer that can help her with coding and perform several other tasks allowing her to become the smartest version of herself.

Despite having lots of limitation, Apple has been bullish about promoting its iPad and iPad Pro as a computer replacement for young kids. While Apple’s latest crop of iPad lineup packs a powerful hardware, but still there are simply too limited to replace the traditional computer.

As far as Microsoft Surface Go is concerned, the device that you get at $399 is slow and cannot be an ideal computer replacement. A decent hardware configuration will easily set you back $500 plus to get something closer to a traditional laptop.  As opposite to iPad, the Microsoft devices are not as powerful as an iPad Pro and cannot provide sufficient power to run Windows 10 properly and handle the heavy workload.
